PostSubject: MCD E.S.P Head kit ...........Death   Wed Apr 14, 2010 10:43 pm

last outing i had tune problems

sounded like it was running lean, idle shot up, an i couldn't get a tune no matter what

messed about with alsorts
carb swap
carb gaskets

i then saw it was leaking fuel around the head an bottom end

i run a copper gasket, but thought it must have gone bad a developed a leak
so i ordered up a new set of gaskets
a new piston ring (as i was stripping the head of anyway)

parts came
but ive had other stuff to do/build so ive only gotten around to it today

took the engine out an stripped it off

the REAL problem was then very clear to see

so iam now engine'less
or more to the point 'HEAD-less'

this one is an E.S.P 30.5 championship ported head, best part of £190
an is about 3 tanks old
so as you can imagine..........today, iam not in a HAPPY MOOD

Mate, total pisser. I feel your pain.

I know next to nothing about petrols, and never heard of E.S.P. But that `scrawling` on the top of your head, if they have done that I would be questioning thier competance.

I hope you het some comeback from them, that is just no good.

That's real shame, especially it's only a few tanks old.

Do you think it's cracked due to crash ?
