PostSubject: Drive Problems   Mon Aug 15, 2011 5:58 am

Since I have transplated everything onto the EVO 2 Chassis, all went well.. ISH ..

come to test it, and the center Gearing seems to be spinning .. and has hardly any drive at all..

restripped it down to the gear carrier.. cleaned bearings etc .. retested a faction better..

put my foot againest the bumper,,, then spins even more.. with no real force as to try and move my foot away..

I am guessing it may be a rear diff issue again .. Not sure thou,
so any MCD OWNERS that may be able to help.. Please advice...

Had something similar happen to mine once when fitting the new alloy top plates

Basicly it was all very slightly out of line
an the tolerances are quite fine for getting a good mesh
if I went one way it was too tight
another too loose
I just had to keep messing

I could have a look if you were coming to the Bash
but your off to the Musk one
so maybe someone could help you down there with it

it could also be the things Phil has mentioned an more
but without seeing the car its pure guess work for anyone

fingers crossed you manage

I think I may have sorted it..

when changing the engine over, I have had to mod the engine crank case slightly on the bottom, to allow the rear drive shaft to rotate correctly, but i dont think I took enough off one of the sections. So when I tighted up the engine to the chassis, it was pressing down of the rear drive shaft causing not to rotate.. if that makes sence..

Mark I sure you may have had to do it to yours ( could be wrong LOL) thanks for the comments guys.. truly greatful..

Mark I would like to thank you for all you have taught me about FG, MCD etc ...

I know I have been a pain in the but somewhat LOL.. buts arnt we all LOL..
Just saying to my missus, this time a year ago I wouldnt have deared to strip the car down, let alone the engine.. but thanks to Mark and lots of patience with me I now can do it ..

I Owe u mate ..
